About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialist to join their growing marketing team in Welkom . This role is crucial for enhancing online visibility and driving organic traffic to our client's digital properties. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective SEO strategies, conducting keyword research, and optimizing website content and technical elements to improve search engine rankings. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work closely with the marketing team in Welkom, Free State , while also enjoying the flexibility of remote work days. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for organic growth. Develop and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies, including content optimization, link building, and technical SEO. Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush) and provide regular reports on key metrics. Identify technical SEO issues and collaborate with web development teams to implement necessary fixes. Stay current with search engine algorithm updates and industry best practices to ensure strategies remain effective. Create and optimize content for search engines, ensuring it is informative, engaging, and aligned with SEO goals. Work closely with content creators and marketing specialists to integrate SEO best practices into all digital marketing efforts. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or in a similar digital marketing role with a focus on SEO. Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and SEO best practices. Proficiency in using SEO tools for keyword research, site audits, and performance tracking. Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO is a plus.
