Job Description

Make a Meaningful Impact in Critical Care Innovation

As a Sr. Clinical Specialist, you play a central role in helping hospitals successfully adopt advanced clinical decision-support technology. You are the person who ensures clinicians understand the platform, trust it, and use it in the moments that matter most. Your work directly influences patient care, clinical outcomes, and long-term customer success.

If you thrive in complex clinical environments, enjoy hands-on engagement with multidisciplinary teams, and want your expertise to shape how technology improves critical care, this role offers that opportunity.

What You'll Do

You'll serve as the clinical expert and implementation lead for new and existing accounts. Your focus is deep execution — mastering the platform, guiding clinicians through change, and ensuring adoption sticks.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building interest and confidence in the platform by highlighting clinical value, new features, and emerging use cases.
  • Engaging clinical sponsors, department leaders, and superusers throughout implementation and post–go-live support.
  • Coordinating closely with internal teams to deliver smooth implementations, expansions, and updates.
  • Leading the clinical components of go-lives, including stakeholder engagement, site readiness, and on-site support.
  • Troubleshooting early technical issues and supporting validation to ensure a seamless launch.
  • Delivering tailored training plans for ICU teams — both virtual and on-site — across multiple disciplines.
  • Empowering superusers to serve as interim trainers and first-line troubleshooters.
  • Sharing clinical success stories, product feedback, and insights with internal teams to influence future development.
  • Owning a defined specialty area where you'll build deep expertise and contribute to broader organizational value.

What You Bring

Clinical Background

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a clinical field; active licensure (RN, RT, APP, or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years of critical-care experience (ICU, cardiac care, or critical-care transport).
  • Experience with medical software, clinical decision support, or healthcare technology.
  • Strong credibility with physicians, APPs, residents, nursing, and respiratory therapy.
  • Confidence and skill in adult education and training.

Technical & Software Skills

  • Minimum 2 years training clinical users on software platforms, data interpretation, and workflow integration.
  • Comfortable with technical terminology and basic troubleshooting.
  • Experience collaborating with IT teams to communicate issues and test changes.
  • Proficiency with common clinical/business tools (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM, Zoom, Teams, SharePoint).

Cross-Functional Strengths

  • Strong project-coordination skills; able to manage multiple timelines independently.
  • Excellent communication — able to translate technical concepts for clinical and non-technical audiences.
  • High autonomy and proactive problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel ~50% domestically and internationally.

Who Thrives in This Role

  • Conscientious operators who keep timelines, documentation, and training coverage tight.
  • Collaborative partners who build strong relationships with internal teams and clinical stakeholders.
  • Persistent implementers who maintain momentum through complex go-lives and change-management challenges.
  • Creative educators who adapt training formats to meet each ICU where it is.
  • Technically adept clinicians who quickly master new software and workflows.

How Success Is Measured

  • Platform utilization and adoption metrics across assigned accounts.
  • Training coverage across clinical disciplines.
  • Consistent capture and communication of clinical success stories.
